Direct Expansion Evaporator coil (DX Coil)

Heat absorption unit in a heat transfer system primarily in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. It works on the principle of convection and conduction to dissipate heat from refrigerant/ process fluid to air; the process fluid passes through the tubes and air stream are passed over the tubes to carry away the heat; air streams are created by the blower/ fans mounted on the unit.
